Michael founded PFE and runs this fundraising event for Connecticut Invention Convention where he has served on the board of directors for the past 5 years. Since its founding over a $440,000 has been raised for teaching students from low income neighborhoods about innovation and entrepreneurship.
The vision for Push for Entrepreneurship is my combined passion to:
1.) Energize people to exceed their self-imposed limitations (and do the “impossible”);
1.) Level the playing field for low income neighborhoods to access the best in innovation education; and
3.) Cultivate and celebrate innovation.
Michael Carter is the founder and Managing Partner of Carter Morse & Goodrich, a merger and acquisition firm based in Southport, CT, where he serves as Managing Partner.
Nick Briere is the Executive Director of the Connecticut Invention Convention, a K-12 invention education non-profit supported by Push For Entrepreneurship. Nick has been involved in Invention Convention since 1999, when he was a first-year inventor in the program. Nick is responsible for overseeing all operations of the Connecticut Inven
Nick Briere is the Executive Director of the Connecticut Invention Convention, a K-12 invention education non-profit supported by Push For Entrepreneurship. Nick has been involved in Invention Convention since 1999, when he was a first-year inventor in the program. Nick is responsible for overseeing all operations of the Connecticut Invention Convention, ensuring the program continues to grow and serve communities in greatest need of innovation education. Beyond his work at the Connecticut Invention Convention, Nick serves on a variety of Advisory Boards, including New England Invents, OceanCrest Ventures, Torbu, and the Soderstrom Fund. Nick has a degree in English and Economics from Duke University and lives in Storrs, Connecticut with his wife Celeste.
